I should be embarrassed to tell you how hooked I am on this song. I listen to it all the time when I am in the car by myself...which lately is A LOT!

Okay first off ... yes, I am totally in love with Pierce Brosnan's beautiful self, down to and including his arse! Hearing him sing this song simply makes me smile. I loved him from day one in Remington Steel to today in Mamma Mia. As Skipper was Joy's freebie, Pierce and Tom Hanks (my true soul mate!) are mine!

With that being said and out of the way......

I love this song because I want to live gracefully, fully and honestly
so when it is my time at the cross roads, I am:

***** "with nothing left untried"
( I was working on this one but I am guessing it's now a definite FAIL.... but, that's for another blog);

***** "Dignified and not to old for sex";
***** "Calm with no desire to run".

I just wonder what more you could ask for.

"Because there is no hurry
When All Is Said and Done!"

ZAP

Sometimes we fool ourselves into thinking that
because we are older we are
wiser, smarter, able to protect ourselves from being hurt.
But I say it's another lie us adults tell ourselves!

I have spent a life time of not knowing my "place".
Wandering out of my lines into others yards that
APPARENTLY
I do not belong.

ZAP!

Young and naive I thought I could go anywhere;
those were other peoples boundaries
- not mine!

ZAP!

My younger self would bark from back inside my "place":
"F@$! you and that stupid fence you put me in!"
As I'd most likely run at it again!

ZAP!

Older and (still) naive, I
- with sincerest footing-
walk (admittedly often run) forward,
somehow forgetting about my electric fencing...

ZAP!

... with tail between my legs,
scolded and embarrassed,
I head back to my "place".

And now my older, wiser, smarter self
wonders if that second run
is worth the
